House of Fraser has enlisted Uday Kotla as its new chief information officer where he will have responsibility for the continued development of technology led solutions across the business.

The UK-based department store will see Kotla take up the role from 20 April. He previously oversaw technology solutions at Wells Fargo, Visa and Charles Schwab.

He will join the executive committee, reporting to chief executive Nigel Oddy.

Oddy said: “We are delighted to announce Uday’s appointment today and I would like to personally welcome him to the team and the new critical role of chief information officer.

“His appointment, which brings a wealth of experience, recognises the need to ensure our strategy and development are enhanced by the technology available across our increasing multi-channel and multi-territory business.”

Kotla brings to the fore 20 years of experience leading projects for clients across businesses in retail, high tech and finance initiatives for companies including Walmart, Adidas and Tesco.
