Apple Watch already backordered on day pre-order becomes available
The Apple Watch has been available for pre-order for less than a day, but delivery times for the hyped-up watch are already delayed by at least four to six weeks.
When users are prompted to add one of the models to their cart on the U.S. online store, shipping times show ‘4-6 weeks,’ ‘June,’ or ‘July.’
Online pre-orders began at 12:01 am PT on Friday (10 April).
It’s unclear what the watch’s availability was at the time pre-order began, as some reports on Twitter show that even at 12:01 am PT, some models were already posting shipping times of four to six weeks.
The watch officially becomes available for purchase on 24 April, but the company is only selling it online during the ‘initial launch period.’
