Omnicom CEO John Wren earned $24m last year

John Wren, CEO and president of ad holding company Omnicom, received $24m in total compensation in 2014, a 33 per cent increase from the year before, according to a company statement filed on Wednesday (8 April).

In 2013 Wren took home $18m compared to nearly $15m in 2012.

Philip Angelastro, executive vice president and chief financial officer, was paid $5m in 2014, compared to $2.4m the year prior. Angelastro served as the company’s controller until last September.

Omnicom owns agencies including BBDO, DDB, and TBWA\Worldwide.

Last year, a $35bn merger with Publicis failed when both companies decided to abandon the deal because of slow progress. Publicis owns agencies including Saatchi & Saatchi and DigitasLBi.
