The fast food brand is set to pay for the marriage of the Illinois couple for the rare chance of hosting what will be a Burger-King wedding.
The pair, who first met in kindergarten, told the State Journal Register that they were first branded as Burger King by a motivational speaker in 5th grade.
King said: “He wanted the students to applaud our efforts in helping set up his event. As soon as he said, 'Joel Burger and Ashley King,' he started to laugh out loud and pronounced we were 'Burger King'.
“We have yet to escape the teasing, but we have fully embraced our nickname."
Burger King caught wind of the engagement of Twitter and got in contact with Ashley King, last week.
