Thomson signs up Jade Jagger for Sensatori Resort Ibiza design collaboration
Holiday company Thomson has called on British fashion, jewellery and interiors designer Jade Jagger to create a limited edition range of kaftans in celebration of the Sensatori Resort Ibiza launch.
The special edition accessories will be gifted for a limited time to guests staying at the resort and, for those in the UK, the range will be available to purchase online with all proceeds going to charity.
This is the third time Thomson has partnered with a designer to bring its ‘holidays designed for you’ proposition to life. In 2012 Philip Treacy designed the Butterfly Bar at the Sensatori Resort Turkey along with a range of women’s and children’s sunhats and last year Jonathan Saunders styled the pool of the Senastori Resort Jamaica and created a collection of sarongs and beach bags.
“Ibiza feels like my second home as I’ve spent so much time there over the last 20 years. Through my collaboration with Thomson I wanted to bring to life what I love most about the island, and use its natural beauty and vibrancy as inspiration for my kaftan designs, as well as drawing from my jewellery collections,” said Jagger.
Thomson marketing and digital director, Jeremy Ellis, said Jagger was the “perfect choice when planning our latest Sensatori Style collaboration” as she’s not only a well-respected interiors and fashion designer she’s “synonymous with Ibiza.”
Resident and lover of the White Isle Jagger has also designed a bespoke wellbeing space at the resort which opens in May of this year.
Jagger explained: “The luxurious new Thomson Sensatori Resort Ibiza has an idyllic setting overlooking the beach, so when designing the wellbeing space I focused on using natural materials and lighting effects that capture the essence of the Ibizan landscape, to create an environment for guests to truly relax in and enjoy.”
The wellbeing space at the Sensatori Resort Ibiza, the first short-haul Sensatori destination, is inspired by the landscape and natural light of the island and features carved screens and a bamboo ceiling to create a relaxed vibe.
“Thomson continues to lead the way in creating outstanding holiday experiences and we take great pride in going that extra mile to make our customers' holidays special. Our new resort along with the striking kaftans and wellbeing space designed by Jade will enhance the five star experience our guests expect at the Sensatori Resort Ibiza,” added Ellis.
In addition to Sensatori Ibiza, two further resorts will be added to the Thomson Sensatori collection this summer. The Sensatori Resort Fethiye in Turkey’s Dalaman region and the Sensatori Resort Aphrodite Hills in Cyprus.
