James Corden, the newly crowned host of ‘The Late Late Show’, has featured in a mock Calvin Klein underwear ad alongside former footballer and model David Beckham.

The skit, created to promote Corden’s hosting of the show, sees the pair model tight white underwear in a number of poses. Corden juxtaposes the black and white film and its serious philosophical musings with interesting visuals.

Beckham relived his time as the head of Calvin Klein’s underwear ads - a position now filled by Justin Bieber - to promote ‘D&J’ briefs... David and James briefs.

The pair stated that the underwear makes them feel "secure", "supported", "free", "cradled", "alive".

The ad closed on the line: “It’s underwear for a man with a great body… And David Beckham.”

Corden takes over the role from the departing Craig Ferguson during a transitional period for late night TV which also saw South African comedian Trevor Noah take over from Jon Stewart as the host of the Daily Show.
