Santa Monica-based agency 180LA has announced its first-ever creative directors, Rafael Rizuto and Eduardo Marques.

Eduardo Marques

The pair previously worked as creative directors at Pereira O’Dell San Francisco after a two-year tenure at Ogilvy & Mather Brazil.

The two will now report to 180LA chief creative officer William Gelner while managing creative direction across all disciplines for agency and client work.

Of the new appointments, Gelner said: “Besides being two of the most highly awarded creative directors in the world, they bring an amazing amount of passion and energy to everything they touch. Their unique global perspective will be invaluable to us as more and more of our clients are looking for big, international ideas that travel and get the world talking.”

In the past two years, the agency’s staff has nearly doubled. Clients include HP, Mitsubishi Motors of North America, Expedia, and Pepsi.

"180 has a powerful history. I am very honored to be part of the new chapter they are starting to build right now," Marques said.

The two have led campaigns such as Hellmann’s Recipe Receipt, Coke’s Happiness Refill and Whopper Face for Burger King.

Rizuto was named #six art director in the world on the Cannes Report 2012, with Marques being ranked as the #one creative director.
