Budweiser has initiated a televised hunt to find the nation’s best goal scorers in the form of a Sky Sports ad starring Gary Neville, Jamie Redknapp and Ed Chamberlin.

Dream Goals will premiere on 30 March and invites amateur footballers to submit videos of their greatest back of the net ‘screamers’ in order to be in with a chance of appearing on Budweiser’s spring TV ad campaign and on Sky Sports – complete with expert commentary from Martin Tyler.

Instead of mulling over professional goal scorers the preview ad depicts the three pundit’s debating the merits of a goal scored by ‘Tommo’ playing for Dynamo Kebab.

Redknapp said: “Gary, Ed and I had a great time filming the ad in the Sky Sports Studio. We know that there are hundreds of amazing amateur goals being scored across the country every weekend, and we’re really looking forward to celebrating these by giving them a taste of the glory that professional players enjoy.”

Andre Finamore Amaral, senior brand Manager at Budweiser, added: “Through Budweiser Dream Goal we want to capture the magic of Sunday league football, and elevate amateur star players to an almost professional status. Every football fan dreams of seeing their goal on TV, so we are all thrilled to be officially launching our Budweiser Dream Goal ad on consumers’ TV screens to help make this dream a reality, as well as to continue our longstanding support of British football.
