M&C Saatchi posts revenues of £169.4m in preliminary full year results

Advertising group M&C Saatchi has posted revenues of £169.4m for 2014, outstripping its 2013 performance by 5 per cent.

The results meant the firm turned an operating profit of £16m thanks to a consistent growth in all major markets, including its home UK market where revenues rose 9 per cent on the back of healthy growth in CRM and mobile.

Like-for-like revenues in Europe rose 15 per cent whilst those in the Middle East and Africa were up 14 per cent. Elsewhere revenue in the America’s leaped 51 per cent following the acquisition of a 33 per cent stake in SS+k in New York.

David Kershaw, chief executive, said: "2014 was another year of excellent progress for M&C Saatchi. Our strategy of consistent growth through winning new business and starting new businesses continues to deliver good results.

"We have invested and upgraded and now feel we have the network span and depth of capabilities with which we can significantly develop our international client portfolio.

"We are confident we will continue to make good progress in 2015 and beyond."

The only dark cloud came from Asia and Australia, where revenues dipped by one per cent.
