Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew has appointed 999 Design to its roster as lead creative agency across its 2015 festival programme.

The appointment sees 999 charged with strategy and conceptual design for the various festivals throughout the year, from naming and campaign development, to print, digital and media application and rollout.

“We’re delighted to have appointed 999 Design. With their fresh perspective and great design ideas we are confident that 999 Design will help build Kew Gardens brand and reach new audiences,” commented Tina Houlton, head of audiences, marketing and communication at Kew Gardens.

The team will work closely with the Kew marketing department to help drive audience engagement levels and bring in media solutions when relevant.

Design director at 999, Lisa Grice, said: “It’s great to be working with such a well-known London icon as Kew Gardens and exciting to help bring their expertise to life. Many people are unaware of how much Kew are continually evolving and innovating – our challenge will be helping them to demonstrate this and show audiences just how much plants matter. It’s a really interesting challenge to be part of.”

The appointment follows a competitive tender process widely advertised in autumn 2014.
