A lovely advert from Specsavers highlighting the plethora of ways children manage to lose their glasses – from falling overboard to being swallowed by a giraffe.

Though the methods shown in the advert may be somewhat unconventional the comical creative hammers home Specsavers ‘kids get two free pairs of glasses’ offer.

Directed by HLA’s Simon Ratigan, the star of the show is a space-travelling bear named Jerrie (in honour of Geraldyn ‘Jerrie’ Cobb – the first woman to complete astronaut-style training).

The campaign launches (pun intended) tomorrow during Saturday Night Takeaway on ITV with supporting social activity running with the hashtag #TeddyinSpace.
