Henkel’s Persil ProClean, a new competitor in the US laundry detergent category, has rolled out three new spots featuring a dapper gentleman who goes by the name of “The Professional.”

Wherever a stain happens - whether it be cupcake icing or red wine - he is on the scene wearing a white tuxedo, armed with Persil ProClean.

The spots, called "The Professional," “Birthday Party," and "Yacht" and created by TBWA\Chiat\Day LA, aim to cut through the predictable mom testimonials that cleaning brands often use in commercials and use humor instead to appeal to viewers.

This technique has been used in the past with household cleaning products. Clorox’s Liquid-Plumr drain opening product has previously rolled out spots called “Quickie” and “Double Impact” that turn a clogged drain into a sexual innuendo.

The Persil ProClean detergent is currently only available at Walmart.
