Welcome to The Drum's Buzzword BBQ, where media commentator Paul McEntee speaks to some of the marketing luminaries attending this year's South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin. During each interview he will discuss the major trends and fascinating things to be found at the festival with senior marketing attendees and ask them to choose a buzzword being used widely at the festival to burn onto a succulent piece of steak so they can literally eat their words.

For today's Buzzword Barbecue, Paul McEntee talks to Rob Begg, VP of enterprise strategy for Hootsuite about who is winning the Internet this year at SXSW; social network streaming app, Meerkat, as well as the presence of brands such as McDonalds and Samsung what small brands are also doing to gain some attention at the festival.

Begg also surprisingly chooses 'Social' as his buzzword to BBQ and eat, considering the sector he and Hootsuite work within. He explains why in the video above.

Check out the BBQ Buzzword choice of Sean Foster, chief executive of CrowdTap.
