England Rugby has offered fans the chance to participate in the official England Rugby single by enabling them to upload their renditions of the chorus to Swing Low, Sweet Chariot onto the England Rugby Facebook page.

Selected entries will be incorporated in the Swing Low, Sweet Chariot single, which has become the unofficial anthem of the England Rugby team. The track, set for release in September, will bring together voices from up and down the land to help support the England team in 2015.

Sophie Goldschmidt, Rugby Football Union (RFU) chief commercial and marketing officer, said: “The RFU is committed to raising the bar when it comes to connecting and engaging with fans, offering them money-can’t-buy experiences and the Every Voice Counts campaign is testament to that commitment.”

Glenn Miller of Facebook partnerships said the Every Voice Counts campaign will take England Rugby’s social media presence to the next level: “The scale and reach of Facebook makes it the ideal platform for a campaign of this magnitude and we look forward to seeing fans upload their own unique versions of Swing Low, Sweet Chariot.”

England Rugby head coach, Stuart Lancaster, added: “The boost supporters give players cannot be underestimated and they really are a 16th man for us. 2015 will be a huge year for England Rugby and we want the whole nation to feel part of it.

“When the team knows that the whole nation is behind them it really makes the difference.”

Entrants should submit their entries to the Facebook England Rugby page or on Instagram using the hashtag #carrythemhome.
