Archant places Will Hattam in first CMO role

Regional publisher Archant has appointed Will Hattam to the newly created role of chief marketing officer.

Hattam, who was previously managing director of Archant Lifestyle and Archant London, will lead the company’s marketing strategy and its digital development.

Prior to joining Archant in 2011 he was managing director of Bauer Media's Motorcycling Division - a role he held for nearly five years.

Meanwhile between January 2003 and February 2006 he was marketing director for national newspapers at Trinity Mirror group.

Commenting on his new role Hattam said: “I’m delighted to have been appointed chief marketing officer following three great years here. I’m looking forward to the challenge of the new role and continuing to ensure everything we do inspires communities – it’s a very exciting time to be part of the team.”

Last year the regional newspaper owner overhauled its digital news and media brand London24 to cater for native advertising.
