Android Wear smartwatch launches ad touting personalisation hours before Apple Watch unveiling
Android has pushed an ad showing just how customisable its Android Wear smartwatches are on the eve of Apple’s unveiling of its first smart watch.
The 17-second slot was shared by Android on Google+ and Twitter using the hashtag ‘#NotTheSame’.
Round or square: wear what you want with #AndroidWear. Be together. #NotTheSame http://t.co/DoKibFFUdC

Urging viewers to stand out from the crowd in a thinly veiled jab at Apple’s control of the mainstream tech market, the 'Wear What You Want' ad's release today underlines the firm's intention of clashing with Apple.
It represents the most recent push from the operating system in its 'Be Together. Not the Same' campaign.
This news follows data from GlobalWebIndex that 9.5 per cent of internet users currently own a smartwatch. Over the coming year, Android and Apple will fight for a dominant share of the wearable industry.
