Statistics show that an agency will now lose almost one fifth of their clients each and every year, so it has never been more important for those responsible for generating new business in an agency to know where the next new client is going to come from.

The Drum Network has joined forces with leading sales advisor Chris Merrington to host a one day workshop during which he will share his insights gained over more than 20 years as to how account handlers and new business personnel can ensure that they have a continually full new business pipeline that they can draw from as other clients leave the business.

Taking place in London on Monday 30th March, Chris will cover all areas of the new business generation process, specifically how you must see new business generation as an investment in your business and how you decide how best to invest your time and money with the best outcome.

Chris will work with attendees to help them best decide which lead generation tools and strategies are the most effective and deliver the best ROI for them; the best strategies to qualify a potential new business lead to disqualify time wasters; how to get past gate keepers to get to who you need to speak to; how to plan game-changing first meetings with prospects and much more.

Chris Merrington is the founder of Spring 80:20 and the author of the business book ‘Why Do Smart People Make Such Stupid Mistakes’. With a back ground in the agency world, Chris now works with marketing agencies across the UK to help them win more work, do better work and ultimately become more profitable by changing their behaviours when it comes to sales.

Speaking of a recent session hosted by Chris, one agency MD commented: “Chris's training style is inclusive, informative and challenging. It made our teams sit up and take notice. It allowed people to feel confident in their own abilities. In the last two years our new business GP has risen over 300% and profitability almost doubled. We now know where to focus and how to work smarter!”

The workshop takes place on Monday 30th March, 11am – 6pm, at the Soho offices of leading accountancy firm Kingston Smith.
