Neil Patrick Harris, Taylor Swift & Chris Pratt nominated for Shorty Awards
The Hollywood Reporter has published a list of eight individuals it claims have been shortlisted for a Shorty Award, in recognition of their social media work across platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, YouTube, Instagram and Vine.
Neil Patrick Harris, Laverne Cox, Anna Kendrick, Mindy Kaling, Chris Pratt, Shonda Rhimes, Taylor Swift and Mark Ruffalo are all named as being amongst this year’s nominees –named by a panel of nominated journalists and tweeted nominations from social media users.
They will join a host of TV shows to have employed notable social media content over the past 12 months; including Pretty Little Liars, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Girls, The Quest, Supernatural, Faking It and Orphan Black.
All nominees will now go head-to-head for a gong in each awards category, ranging from sports and journalism to fashion and humour, with the winner set to be revealed on 20 April in New York.
