Buzzfeed has released a new app, called Cute or Not, that allows users to rate animals, by swiping right or left, much like popular dating app Tinder.

Users also have the option of uploading pictures of their own pets and monitoring how cute others think they are.

The app is one of two the media brand is set to release this year. The second will focus on news, from both Buzzfeed and other organizations.

In a blogpost, Buzzfeed’s vice president of product, Christ Johanesen said that the media company is keen to reach its users wherever they are.

“I’m often asked why we believe in apps when many media companies are ditching their apps and focusing on pure-web experiences,” he wrote. “Another building block of our DNA is to make the best experience for our readers on whatever platform they are on, whether they are finding us on the web or downloading one of our apps directly.”

Cute or Not is now available in the Apple Store.
