Joining them will be Google country director for the UK Peter Fitzgerald; Twitter sales director for the UK Dara Nasr; and James Chandler, global mobile director at Mindshare.

IAB chief operating officer Jon Mew revealed the internet of things has already emerged as one of the key themes for the day.

“Mobile Engage is a mainstay and a hub for mobile and tech developments. This year’s full day conference will celebrate and showcase all that mobile has to offer, with a strong focus on the power of connectivity and what’s possible with the internet of things,” he said.

He added that with mobile now responsible for over 20 per cent of all digital ad spend and smartphone penetration now at 78 per cent in the UK, the full day conference will also educate and inspire attendees to make the most of the connected future.

IAB Mobile Engage 2015: The Connected Future will take place on Thursday 14 May at the Mermaid Centre in Blackfriars.

The Drum will be supporting the event this year as media partner alongside sponsor Opera MediaWorks.
