Family history brand Findmypast has appointed CHI&Partners to handle its UK advertising as it looks to drive awareness of the brand.

The appointment follows project-based work CHI&Partners carried out in 2014 which ran across TV, radio online and direct marketing.

For the coming year, Findmypast – which enables users to trace their family history online – has further invested in an expanded media and creative strategy to communicate what the site can offer users.

Media planning and buying will continue to be run by CHI&Partners’ sister agency m/SIX.

Matt Bushby, marketing director at Findmypast, said: “We’re delighted to formalise our ongoing relationship with CHI&Partners, who have already created some exceptional work for us. We look forward to building on that work in 2015, as we continue to grow our audience both in the UK and in our key international markets.”

Sarah Golding, chief executive at CHI&Partners, said it was plotting a strategy to help it stand out in the increasingly competitive market which includes the likes of Ancestry and Genes Reunited.

This is the latest win for the agency. Earlier this week, it was appointed by Travelodge to handle a £15m creative brief.
