How does a politician get their message across to that hard to reach millennial generation? Well if you're the US president, you make a video with Buzzfeed and watch the views come rolling in.

To spread the word that the deadline for signing up for health insurance is February 15 (tomorrow), Obama enlisted Buzzfeed's video team to create Things Everybody Does But Doesn't Talk About.

With the UK general election looming, perhaps Cameron, Miliband et al should take note.

The two-minute film shows the president clowning around with a selfie stick, fumbling his speech in the mirror and even trying out some youth parlance – YOLO.

At the time of writing the video had been viewed more than 28.6m times on Facebook.
