Topman has created a new YouTube music project, #Openshoot to connect Topman and specially selected artists with their fans and creative communities across the UK.

The project, developed with youth marketing agency Livity and media agency Maxus, invites young creative talent to help contribute to the creation of new music videos using crowd-sourced creative ideas.

In the first collaboration of the Openshoot series, the newly launched Topman TV YouTube channel has teamed up with British artist Ghostpoet, aka Obaro Ejimiwe, who’s single ‘X Marks the Spot’, will go through the first Openshoot treatment.

Topman fans have until 22 February to get involved and showcase their visual ideas through images, film, illustrations, patterns or whatever inspires them most. Fans can upload their image and film entries on the Topman website and use the #Openshoot tag via Instagram and Twitter, which then becomes a part of an online collective gallery of content.

Jason Griffiths, Topman marketing director, said: "Openshoot is one of our most ambitious music projects to date, and to kick it off with Ghostpoet for the launch of his new single 'X Marks the Spot' is really exciting. We can't wait to see entries from our fans, and his, to help mould the official music video to the track and officially launch it on our new YouTube channel Topman TV.”

The final music video will premier on 13 March exclusively on Topman TV, where fans can also view behind-the-scenes clips to see how their contributions have featured.
