David Cameron has recruited President Obama's 'chief of stuff' Reggie Love to help him secure Number 10 in May's General Election.

Reports suggest Love has joined Jim Messina, Obama's 2012 campaign manager who has been hired to manage the Conservative's digital strategy, to do the "field work and social media" for the party.

Whilst working for Obama the President dubbed him iReggie with Love writing in his book, 'Power Forward': "I was his [Obama's] DJ, his Kindle, his travel agency, his valet, his daughters' basketball coach, his messenger, his punching bag, his alarm clock, his vending machine, his chief of stuff, his note passer, his spades partner, his party planner, his workout partner, his caterer, his small forward, his buffer, his gatekeeper, his surrogate son, and ultimately, improbably, his friend."

Whereas over in the Labour camp Ed Milliband is set to lose his US election guru, David Axelrod, as he heads off on a book tour to promote his memoir of 40 years in politics 'Believer' for most of February.

Earlier this week Zone MD Jon Davie explained why the Conservatives £100,000 per month Facebook spend should come as no surprise to the public.
