Former hosts Katie Couric and Bryant Gumbel are shown trying to grasp the concept of the internet when it was just trembling on the cusp of life. Likewise, the ad suggests, the BMW i3's electric technology is as hard for them to comprehend today, but will be ubiquitous in a couple of decades.
