Hacking collective Lizard Squad is threatening to release nude pictures of Taylor Swift after hacking the singers Twitter and Instagram accounts.

Swift’s account, the fourth largest account on Twitter, was hijacked for a brief period in which tweets were sent in the stars name requesting her 51.4m followers to follow @lizzard and @veriuser.

Both accounts were subsequently suspended but not before they’d tweeted screengrabs apparently proving that they’d been able to access the stars accounts.

@Lizzard claimed to be the leader of Lizard Squad, a group which has come to prominence in recent years following a spate of high profile hacks against the likes of Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and even Facebook – although the latter denies this.

In a statement posted on her Tumblr page Swift said: “My twitter got hacked but don’t worry. Twitter is deleting the hacker tweets and locking my account until they can figure out how this happened and get me new passwords. Never a dull moment.”

Responding to ca threat from @Lizzard to post nude images unless he receive three Bitcoins, equivalent to $780, Swift added: “Psssh you’d love that wouldn’t you! Have fun photoshopping cause you got NOTHING.”
