American lingerie retailer Victoria’s Secret has launched a Super Bowl XLIX teaser ad urging sports fans not to forget Valentine’s Day this year.

The ad will air during the Super Bowl to remind viewers that Valentine’s Day is two weeks is away. The “Don’t Drop the Ball” proposition will position the brand’s products in front of the sporting event’s considerable global audience.

As sides of models clash, Victoria’s Secret models Adriana Lima, Doutzen Kroes, Candice Swanepoel, Lily Aldridge and Behati Prinsloo, are revealed to be the winners.

Sharen Jester Turney, chief executive of Victoria’s Secret, said: “The Super Bowl is the single best opportunity for Victoria’s Secret to remind a global audience that Valentine’s Day is right around the corner.”

The company first jumped on the Super Bowl bandwagon in 1999 with an additional slot in 2008.
