Parody Fox News Twitter account threatens social media users posting #foxnewsfacts
A parody Fox News Twitter account has been bombarding tweeters uploading satirical content using the hashtag #Foxnewsfacts with fake legal threats.
The phoney threats were issued through the @FoxNewsPress account to users posting #Foxnewsfacts on Twitter - a trending topic on the social network since a Fox presenter made the claim that that Birmingham is a “Muslim-only city” on Sunday.
The account, which claims to be the “Press Relations Team for US' top news channel" issued a series of takedown notices to Twitter users.
