Cheetham Bell has restructured its senior management team with Steve McCarron, former head of planning, taking up the role of managing director and Andy Huntingdon and Martin Smith promoted to become joint creative directors.

The changes, which also see Andy Cheetham taking on the chairman’s role to reduce his commitment to three days per week, come in order to create a fresh, energised team to drive the agency forward.

To coincide with the 150th anniversary of parent company J Walter Thompson, CBJWT has re-launched as Cheetham Bell (a J Walter Thompson company) following a joint decision by New York and Manchester to reassert the agency’s hotshop roots.

“We’re going back to the very essence of our brand - a commitment to cutting-edge creative work built on powerfully simple thinking,” said McCarron of the rebrand.

Cheetham Bell’s corporate identity has undergone a redesign to reflect the agency’s aspirations and as part of the re-launch Cheetham Bell has moved to a new office within a renovated warehouse in Castlefield.
