Irn-Bru celebrates the brand's 'rich heritage' with tartan-clad limited edition bottle run

Irn-Bru has followed the success of its 'personalised' bottles with the launch of tartan-clad bottles to celebrate the soft drinks brand's 'Bru's Your Clan?' campaign.

With 57 different types of tartan covering up to 11,000 different surnames to choose from the bottles will be in store in time for Hogmanay celebrations. Those who don't have Scottish roots will be able to join 'Clan Bru' complete with its very own Irn-Bru tartan.

"For a limited time we're dressing our bottles in some of Scotland's best known and well-worn tartans to celebrate our rich heritage," explained Adrian Troy, head of marketing at AG Barr. "Whether you're 100 per cent Scottish or just have a dash of ginger in your family tree, Bru's Your Clan gives people the chance to check out their roots, sport their clan colours and make Irn-Bru their own."

In June last year Irn-Bru launched limited edition bottles dedicated to the brand's TV ad namesake 'Fanny' as well as long-serving AG Barr staff members 'Tam' and 'Rab'.
