Sir Elton John posts live wedding updates via Instagram
Sir Elton John has hosted a very public wedding to his partner David Furnish after posting live updates to the photo sharing website Instagram using the hashtag #Sharethelove.
A steady stream of photographs, commentary and insights were streamed from the network throughout the event which was attended by A-listers including Liz Hurley, Ed Sheeran and Hugh Grant.
The ceremony took place nine years to the day since the couple became civil partners and was held in the couple’s home in Old Windsor, Berkshire.
Other guests to attend the star-studded bash included comedians David Walliams and Jimmy Carr, singers Lulu and Ed Sheeran and newspaper proprietor Evgeny Lebedev.
