Inspired by the current social trend of Lush fans sharing bath-time works of art using #LushTime, the handmade cosmetic retailer decided to create an online film showcasing its products in action. The Drum takes a behind-the-scenes peek.

From exploding bath bombs, morphing liquids and surfaces colour bombed by lustres, the filming of Lush’s The Experimenter campaign shows the filming approach taken by Lush Digital and production agency The Mill.

This includies the use of a phantom Flex4K camera to capture the campaign in 4K ultra definition different environments, capturing shots of colour, texture and movement.

The film itself features choral ensemble The London Voices and a 45-piece orchestra performing a specially composed piece of music, Wings at their Feet, by electronica producer Simon ‘Palm Skin’ Richmond.

It launched last Wednesday and is hosted on YouTube via Lush Cosmetics.
