Take That's new single 'These Days' has hit the high notes for Google Play this week, taking the top spot in The Drum's Shazam chart.

The track is a single from the now-three-piece band's latest album 'III', available to stream exclusively on Google Play.

As with previous ads for Google's digital content platform, the triangular Play logo remains at the heart the ad - hammering home the fact that the service allows users to access an array of entertainment all in the one place.

Meanwhile 'Pay for it' by American rapper Jay Rock creeps into eighth place.

The song appears in Beats' new 'Powerbeats2 Wireless - Ain’t No Game' campaign, featuring Serena Williams, Mario Götze and LeBron James.

Tom Odell, Josef Salvat and Kiesza also made it into the chart this week.

The charts are based on the number of times each ad has been Shazamed over the past week using music identification app Shazam.
