Mattress and bed company Dreams has signed as the first national retailer to support Bauer Radio’s Cash For Kids charity and its Mission Christmas 2014 campaign.

Now in its fourth year, the campaign, which runs in partnership with financial service organisation Foresters, asks listeners across Bauer Radio’s portfolio to buy an extra gift or make a donation to help disadvantaged children in need over Christmas.

As part of the partnership Dreams will act as a network of drop-off and cash collection points throughout the duration of the campaign, while Foresters will reprise its role helping to pack and deliver presents and donations.

Celebrities including Ant and Dec, Keith Lemon and comedian John Bishop are also on board to help the campaign build on the £8m plus gifts and cash that was delivered to children across the UK last Christmas.

Sally Aitchison managing director of Cash for Kids said: “The ‘Mission Christmas’ campaign touches the lives of so many children across the UK. With the help of the other fantastic initiatives in the calendar we’re on track to raise almost £15 million for the year.”

All 160 Dreams retail stores in the UK will be accepting gifts and cash donations from the public.
