Wolff Olins has announced that Teemu Suviala is to join its New York office as creative director.

Suviala brings over 13 years’ worth of creative director experience and a cumulative 20 years’ experience in the field of art and design within the US, Europe and Asia.

Ije Nwokorie, chief executive of Wolff Olins, said the agency was “excited” by the appointment and hopes Suviala will “inject his progressive and bold approach of openness, playfulness and randomness into our work and culture.”

Suviala added: “I am thrilled to be joining global community of Wolff Olins. I look forward to connecting a mix of ideas, people and visions for surprising and unique solutions that change brands and businesses for the better.”

During his career Suviala has worked with the likes of Mattel, MTV, Puma and Speedo. Prior to joining Wolff Olins he was at Kokoro & Mio, a Helsinki and New York-based design agency he co-founded in 2001.
