Boots UK has invited the nation to celebrate all of the special people in their lives as part of its #SpecialBecause Christmas campaign.

Having asked the public why these people were so special, Boots UK then toured the country to bring to life three very #SpecialBecause tweets.

Andy Ferguson, director of marketing, Boots UK, said: “With #SpecialBecause we set out to inspire our customers to celebrate special people in their lives by sharing the reasons they matter for all the nation to see. However our customers inspired us so much with their incredible nominations telling us all about the people in their lives that make them feel good, often in the smallest or simplest of ways, that we couldn’t resist turning some of those special mentions into a very special memory.”

Following one tweet, Bolton football coaches for The Little Kickers, Andy and Jake were surprised during their football session. The Little Kickers team took part in a bespoke session, wearing a kit with a special message on the front and presented the coaches with a personalised frame of thanks, with help from ex-Bolton Wanderers star, Fabrice Muamba.

Other people visited by the Boots UK team included Victoria Road Primary School in Northwich and a Barrecore dance troupe from Chiswick.

Edits of the experiences are being shared on Boots UK’s social media channels including Twitter, Facebook and YouTube to amplify the #SpecialBecause campaign.

A special Christmas gift is also being sent daily to some of those who tweet using the #SpecialBecause tag.
