The move by the on-demand service follows the success of the summer 2014 internship scheme it ran for students.

Caroline Seton, head of human resources at YouView, said: “We’re delighted to extend our commitment to emerging talent looking to enter the exciting world of TV and technology. Our interns work on cutting edge projects that make a real difference to the business, from product designs and code writing to testing and project management plus much more. We’re looking forward to welcoming more smart new brains to YouView, who will help us continue to pioneer seamless and easy to use on demand TV for everyone.”

Of those who undertook the summer internship, more than a third of the interns received offers of either permanent roles or continued project work at the company.

Nick Thexton, chief technology officer at YouView, said: “We’re inviting young technologists to grasp this opportunity to support us in evolving YouView through continuous innovation. YouView is investing in new technologies that will give our customers the best access to fantastic TV, simply and easily. It has never been a more exciting time to join YouView.”

The 2015 intake includes roles in visual design, interaction design, HR, marketing, PR, project management, content development, technical architecture, testing, operations and automation development.

The interns’ salaries will start at £17,000 pro rata.
