Co-op is focusing on its convenience in its Christmas ad campaign, showing people distracted as they suddenly realise they have forgotten Christmas staples.

Assuring customers that ‘help is only a Co-op away this Christmas’, the ad aims to promote the fact that the Co-op has more stores than any other supermarket.

A light-hearted 30- second ad shows people going about their business before they blurt out items that they have forgotten to pick up for their Christmas dinner.

Andrew Mann, marketing director at Co-op, said: “We’re thrilled to be launching our Christmas TV advert today, and we hope that shoppers resonate with the humorous tone of the adverts.

“We want to assure customers that help is always at hand over the Christmas period, indeed, it is only a Co-op away.”

As well as the 30-second ad, two 10-second ads are set to air in the run up to Christmas.
