Basketball player Blake Griffin has proved there’s more to him than his slam dunks in a campaign for Foot Locker celebrating the arrival of the latest Jordan collection.

Created in partnership with Wieden + Kennedy Amsterdam, the campaign tackles Griffin’s naysayers and skeptics who say he’s ‘only a dunker’ by showing off all of his talents.

Shot in black and white by director Paul Hunter the film doesn’t show the expected dunks and instead shows Griffin throw down some moves that define him as more than just a dunker.

David Smith, Wieden + Kennedy Amsterdam creative director commented: “The Jordan brand has a long tradition of showing athletes in a unique light, so it was nice to show the world a whole other side to Blake Griffin.”

Airing now on TV in France and Italy, ‘Above Expectations’ also features in online activations in these markets as well as in the UK. Social and digital activity underpins the film, with Griffin challenging ballers everywhere to raise their game.
