Samsung the most shared tech brand of 2014, with Budweiser, Volkswagen and Chanel topping their sectors

Activia’s La La La ad featuring Shakira has been named the most shared video of the year by Unruly in its Video Sharing Awards (VSAs).

Budweiser: Its Super Bowl ad helped it to be top for alcohol

The winners, including those who were deemed the top shared brands in different sectors, were all named in a Twitter ceremony.

Samsung was named the most shared tech brand, while Activia topped the food and drink category, and Budweiser was the most shared alcohol brand.

Vodafone was the most shared telecommunications brand, while Volkswagen topped the auto list, Chanel won in terms of health and beauty, Electronic Arts was the most shared gaming brand and Cardstore.com led shares in terms of retail brands.

John Lewis scooped most shared holiday ad for Monty the Penguin – beating both the Burberry and Sainsbury’s Christmas ads.

Ford topped the Halloween ads for its car wash prank, but Devil Baby Attack from 20th Century Fox was the most shared prankvert of the year.

Today, Unruly also unveiled the top 10 shared brands of the year: a list headed by Activia.
