Tennent’s has launched the #BlackTFriday campaign, a chauffeur service which can be hailed using Twitter in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

The taxis can be summoned on Twitter

Social media users who use the hashtag will be able to hitch a free lift from the fleet of black Mercedes Viano cars, all stocked with chilled Black-T awaiting consumption,.

The scheme will pick over 18s in the cities every Friday until 2 January and a bid to relieve the stress of Christmas shoppers.

Paul Condron, marketing director of Tennent’s Lager, said: “If there’s a time of the week that most of us look forward to a bit of a treat, then it’s Friday night.

“With our Black Friday service, there’s no need for bus queues, or paying for taxis, we’ll simply will pick you up, drop you off and give you some of Scotland’s premium lager to take home with you too.”

He concluded: “It’s the ultimate start to the weekend, especially in the lead-up to Christmas”

Black-T was unleashed to the public in October with a mysterious social media treasure hunt where it was dubbed the “dark horse of premium lager” by Tennent’s Paul Condron.

The service will run between 5 - 9pm each week and will travel up to ten miles per journey
