British airline Monarch Group has appointed Navigate Digital to boost its online performance and support its revised business strategy.

Monarch, recently acquired by investment firm Greybull Capital in a £125m deal, is to phase out long-haul and charter flights and refocus its fleet on short-haul European flights. Navigate’s remit is to develop a digital ad strategy to support Monarch’s new business model.

Robert Foulkes, online marketing manager at Monarch, said: “We’re pleased to be working with Navigate, who will help deliver our digital strategy going forward for www.monarch.co.uk ensuring we reach our customers online at key times of the year. Along with our industry leading in-flight entertainment app, M Player, and being the first European airline to launch Feefo customer reviews, we intend to ensure our digital marketing strategy follows suit. ”

John Kimbell, Managing Partner at Navigate, said: “We’ll be managing Monarch’s display media buying and planning in the first instance, bringing a more strategic focus to their digital spend in line with their decision to concentrate on European flights. Early in 2015 we’ll also be rolling out more tactical campaigns focused on particular destinations.”

“This is a significant win for us and we’ll be adding to our team in the next few months as a result.”

London based Navigate’s clients include Space NK, Lakeland, Park Resorts & Palmer’s.
