Bruce Daisley, UK managing director of Twitter, has been named Individual of the Year at the Social Buzz Awards, and number one in The Drum’s Social Buzz Top 50.

The inaugural Social Buzz Top 50 celebrates the top 50 people in UK social media marketing.

Prior to Twitter, Daisley was director of YouTube and display at Google, where he was responsible for leading the UK sales for YouTube and Google's online display advertising.

In this role he successfully monetised Google's display business in the UK, with the company rising to be number two in the display market.

He joined Twitter as sales director in 2012 and was promoted to managing director in 2013.

From a list of industry nominated individuals, this year's Social Buzz Awards judges ranked the longlist to whittle it down to the final 50.

Throughout the course of this week, we have been teasing the list, naming 10 people a day. Take a look at who made it into the top 10 alongside Daisley below.

The full list, including profiles of all 50, is now published.
