Ogilvy & Mather names Paul Shearer as Middle East and North Africa chief creative officer

Ogilvy & Mather has appointed Paul Shearer to the role of chief creative officer across the Middle East and North Africa.

Shearer brings with him 25 years’ worth of advertising experience to the role and has worked with brands including Guess Jeans, Nike, Audi and Levis.

Of the appointment Tham Khai Meng, worldwide chief creative officer of Ogilvy & Mather, said: “Paul Shearer’s proven strong creative leadership, stunning work and business wins make him the perfect choice as our chief creative officer. He will be a great partner for Ramzi Moutran our UAE executive creative director and Paul Smith our EAME chief creative officer. Working together with our business partners and clients, we will take our brands in MENA to the next level. This is an exciting moment for us.”

For many years Shearer led the charge for Nike on some of its most famous football World Cup campaigns. He also launched the brands ‘Just Do It’ platform in a number of countries. Prior to joining Ogilvy & Mather Shearer has worked with Wieden+Kennedy as creative head and at BBH as a senior creative, he was also a founding partner of Nitro.

Shearer's role is based at Ogilvy’s Dubai, UAE office.
