Mobiles.co.uk, an online retail brand owned by the Carphone Warehouse, has released a hidden camera prank video on YouTube showing two members of the public completing a series of bizarre challenges.

After answering a ringing phone left on the pavement, the participants are tasked with hitting low-flying fruit with a baseball bat, herding cats and chasing man-sized rabbits through a busy park, in return for a prize tech bundle worth £1000.

Jay Karsandas, digital marketing manager at Mobiles.co.uk, said: “We know just how much of an everyday essential our phones and tablets have become, so we wanted to put them to the test and see how they can help in any situation, whatever life throws at you.”

To celebrate the release of the video, Mobiles.co.uk is offering viewers the chance to win their own tech prize - a Sony Z3 – by heading over to the Mobiles Facebook page and tagging a friend who they think would be a pro at the challenge. The video has had more than 116,000 views since it was released on Monday.
