Manchester out-of-home media owner MediaCo Outdoor has inked advertising deals with Microsoft, The Co-operative Bank, H&M and JD Sports on its new digital megascreen #1Manchester.

Located in Market Street in Manchester, the new screen forms part of the second phase of the company’s digital expansion, and will reach over 750,000 pedestrian shoppers, business people and residents fortnightly.

Commercial director Richard Blackburn commented: “Following on from the launch of our CityLive touchscreen network last year we are thrilled to announce another digital first for the company, this time with the launch of a spectacular new digital platform for advertisers looking to combine the broadcast nature of OOH with the interactive and contextual value that this screen will deliver.”

The 18.0m x 5.2m screen is the UK’s largest pedestrian-facing full motion digital screen, and will allow brands to use animated and interactive content to connect with a pedestrian audience.

In additon #1Manchester will use an audience-based trading model, which will allow it to be planned alongside the company’s CityLive touchscreen network to give brands complete domination of the city centre as well as the opportunity for cross-screen, live data-driven interaction.
