Lego has appointed Julia Goldin and Loren Shuster to its team to replace ex-chief marketing officer Mads Nipper, who left in March.

Lego has split the role previously held by Nipper with Goldin, previously executive vice chairman and chief marketing officer for Revlon, joining as chief marketing officer while Shuster, who joins from managing director, brand solutions, Asia-Pacific at Google, will take the title chief commercial officer.

The pair will lead the “globalisation” and “digitisation” of the company.

Lego chief executive Jørgen Vig Knudstorp said: “We have strong ambitions of globalising and innovating the Lego experience.

“Our new team members come well equipped to supplement our present strong corporate management, and I am confident that they will bring in important experience to help us achieve our challenging strategic ambitions within globalisation and digitalisation.”

The pair will join Lego’s management board.
