Jet2.com and Jet2holidays name MEC Manchester as media planning agency

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have appointed MEC Manchester to handle all its media and digital planning and buying requirements.

Appointed following a competitive pitch process, MEC Manchester will be responsible for driving both awareness and customer acquisition for both brands of the holiday specialist company across all media, digital and paid search channels.

Gavin Forth, head of marketing at Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “MEC impressed us with its understanding of our proposition and commercial priorities. They provide marketing leading performance planning skills coupled with the level of thinking, service and buying skills required to drive future growth for Jet2.com and Jet2holidays as we move into 2015.”

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will now be MEC Manchester’s largest client.

Mick Style, managing director of MEC Manchester, added: “Following a rigorous pitch process that pushed the whole agency to its limits, I am delighted that Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have decided to appoint MEC. Work on the account will begin immediately.
