Selfridges’ Manchester-based Exchange Square store has teamed up with city’s transport provider Metrolink to wrap one of its yellow trams with a Christmas ad campaign for the first time.

Running across the whole network, the tram will be in service throughout the Christmas period displaying the retailer’s logo and pink and green tree design.

Peter Cushing, Transport for Greater Manchester’s Metrolink director, said: “We are delighted to have such a prestigious and well-respected brand on board, showcasing Metrolink as a great way to pick up some Christmas bargains and enjoy all the festive fun on offer across Greater Manchester.

“We hope its colourful and striking design helps to spread festive cheer as it makes its way across the network.”

This is the first time Metrolink has run a commercial partnership on one of its M5000 trams, and the first time Selfridges Exchange Square has advertised with the transport company.
