Sears Canada has launched a humorous commercial featuring funny-man Mike Myers in a bid to reverse its fading fortunes.

The ad called '#MyBrotherWorksAtSears' shows Mike Myers visit his brother Peter who has worked at Sears Canada for 32 years. During the back and forth between the siblings the firm boldly shrugs off its commercial woes.

When asked how much he knows about Sears’ Canadian operation, Myers said: "Not a lot… just that Sears Canada has to demographically and psychographically alter the trajectory of its business model… but that would just be a wild guess."

The video, directed by Bryan Buckley, has been viewed over a million times since it was launched 5 November. It aired only in Canada.
